What Your Cat Experiences With Us

Your feline friend gets their own private, spacious accommodation with comfortable bedding, hiding spots, and elevated areas for those cats who prefer to survey their surroundings from above. We encourage you to bring their favourite blanket, toys, or anything with familiar scents from home.

We know how fussy cats can be during meal times so we do our best to maintain their regular diet and meal times as they would at home. If you’re cat has irregular meal times or extra meals, then please discuss this with a member of our team in order to make your cat as comfortable as possible during their stay. 

Each cat is different, and we respect that. We aim to interact with your cat as much as possible if required and if the cat desires this. We know some cats like interaction, grooming and play time but we also accept that cats like to be alone and sleep. Our staff will identify your cats need and adapt their care as necessary.

Stress-Free Environment for Sensitive Souls

We’ve designed our cat boarding areas to be calm and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle that can unsettle nervous cats. Each cat has their own space where they can retreat and feel secure, with comfortable hiding areas and cosy spots.

Our facility is fully heated and uses calming techniques that help reduce stress. For longer stays, we provide grooming services and plenty of gentle attention for those cats who enjoy it.

Food & Nutrition

We do require you to bring your cats own food for the full duration of their stay. This allows your cat to enjoy their regular diet while with us while also avoiding any upset tummy’s while with us.

We do stock food (Felix & Whiskas) and this can be provided at a cost of £1.00 per cat per day but we do encourage you to provide your own food.

Medication

Any medication (apart from medications involving needles) can be accurately administered but must be in its original packaging. We need consent from yourself to be able to administer this. Please discuss this with a member of stuff when dropping off your cat for their stay.

Cat Litter

Here at Harlow Kennels & cattery Ltd, we use Wood based cat litter.

If you cat will only use clay or other types of litter, this will need to be provided.

Bedding

We do provide all types of bedding and blankets for your cat(s) throughout their stay but if you wish to bring your own bedding, blankets and special napping boxes then please feel free too. It is always nice for your cat to have a space that smells of home while staying with us.
